RAD-READY! is a collection of READY-TO-BUILD house concepts designed for changing ways of living. From flexible work-home spaces and multi-generation living to compact footprints, universal design, and elderly extensions, each model offers a clear architectural solution for real-life needs. Together, they present homes that are practical, adaptable, and carefully designed for the future of everyday living.
TYPE 1
FLEXI
WHAT IS "FLEXI"?
FLEXI is designed for a new urban lifestyle where a house must support more than living. It responds to the rise of work-from-home careers, small creative businesses, and income-generating spaces by offering a home that can shift between residence, studio, office, café, rental, or private gym.
WHY "FLEX"?
Inspired by the openness of studio and factory spaces, the design avoids over-defining the lower levels. Stairs and bathrooms are placed along one side, leaving the first floor and mezzanine as continuous, adaptable volumes. These spaces can shift between living mode, working mode, and commercial use as the owner’s lifestyle changes. Above, the bedrooms remain calm and private, allowing the house to balance flexibility, productivity, and personal retreat within one compact form. It is a home prepared for work, rest, and future change.
TYPE 2
DOUBLE ACCESS
WHAT IS "DB" ?
Double Access House rethinks the extended family home for two generations who want to live close without losing independence. It is designed for grown children building their own family while still wishing to stay connected to their parents through everyday rituals—sharing meals, conversation, care, and support.
WHY "DB" ?
The concept works like a “2 in 1 house”: one architectural form containing two distinct households. Like two LEGO pieces joined together, the house reads as a single home from the outside, yet its internal planning gives each generation a clear sense of privacy. Two entrances organize separate patterns of daily life. The ground floor becomes a shared area and elderly-friendly living zone, while the upper floor forms a complete home for the next generation, creating closeness without intrusion.
TYPE 3
10 X 10
WHAT IS "10 X 10" ?
0x10 House begins with a simple but powerful question: what kind of life can be created within a precise 10-by-10-metre footprint? Instead of seeing the limited area as a constraint, the project treats it as a clear framework for efficiency, comfort, and adaptability.
WHY "10 X 10" ?
The plan starts from a perfect square, then divides it into a 3-by-3 grid, similar to an XO board. Essential domestic functions are placed around the perimeter, while the centre is intentionally kept open as a flexible space. This central room can become a family gathering area, play zone, dining extension, work corner, or quiet place to pause. The result is a single-storey universal design home that supports wheelchair access and everyday living for all generations, while keeping the plan simple, open, and ready to change.
TYPE 4
COMPACT
WHAT IS "COMPACT" ?
Compact House is designed for contemporary urban living, where land is limited but quality of life should not be compromised. In response to growing cities and environmental concerns, the project explores how a smaller footprint can support a more sustainable way of living.
WHY "COMPACT" ?
The concept is based on compact spatial units, each carefully sized and arranged according to real domestic needs. Rather than expanding without purpose, the house removes wasted space and gives every square metre a clear role. Within a modest two-storey volume, the plan provides three bedrooms, efficient service areas, and a double-volume living space as the main highlight. Light and air expand the interior, creating a sense of openness that feels larger than the footprint itself, proving that compact living can still feel generous.
TYPE 5
ELDERLY
WHAT IS " ELDERLY " ?
Elderly House is a compact extension designed for families whose existing home no longer has enough usable space, yet does not require an entirely new building. The project proposes a small architectural cabin that can be attached to the side or rear of an existing house, offering a practical way to bring care closer to the family.
WHY " ELDERLY " ?
Inspired by container units and prefabricated living modules, the design is simple, flexible, and easy to integrate with different site conditions. Within a 3.5-by-10.5-metre footprint, the extension contains a living area, bedroom, powder room, and shower as one accessible ensuite. Planned for wheelchair use, it supports elderly residents with privacy, safety, dignity, and a continued connection to familiar surroundings, while allowing the family to adapt the home with minimal disruption.
